Facts: Seahorses are tiny fish. They live in both tropical and temperate coastal water. The size of a seahorse ranges from 1.5 to 35.5 cm (58 to 14 in) and a lined seahorse has a lifespan of one to four years in the wild. They get their name from their equine appearance, which includes bent necks, long-snouted heads, and a distinct trunk and tail. Many of them have the ability to change their color in seconds, from black or gray to bright yellow or orange. It’s true that the male seahorse hatches the eggs in a pouch on his belly.
